Missions Minute - Lytle Family (January 9, 2025)

Steve Lytle at FBC Strongsville would like to share some highlights and updates in the last quarter for the year.

  • On 11/24/24 three people were baptized at FBC. The new church constitution proposed was approved by the members of the church. A shout out of thanks for all who prayed for this from the last missions minute.
  • FBC Strongsville partnered with Faith Baptist Community Center in Cleveland to pack Thanksgiving giveaway bags to those in need. FBC held a flag football turkey bowl on Thanksgiving morning where they had several unsaved participants show up and the gospel was proclaimed to them.
  • FBC hit a financial goal of $2,300 to divide between 5 different missionaries and purchase gifts for kids in need at FBCC of Cleveland.
  • FBC finished 2024 with 13 of 16 Sunday mornings having an attendance of 50 or more! That's significant because at the start of 2024 many of the weeks only had around 30 in attendance.

The Lytle's would like to personally thank the Summit church and its congregation for there ongoing support and generosity towards the Lytle's and FBC of Strongsville.

Some prayer requests for the FBC church:
That the congregation will continue to stay unified in the mission and vision seen for FBC.
The building is getting older and needs maintenance soon. Pray that God will give Steve and church leadership the wisdom, discernment, and finances available to accomplish all that will be needed soon.

Some prayer requests for the Lytles:
  • Their 14 year old son Hudson just had knee surgery that actually went very well but still need ongoing prayers for the plates and screws that were put in his knee to correct the issue with his legs.
  • Steve's parents are from Canada where they still live. It's been over a 1.5yrs since Steve's been able to go and visit his parents. (Steve's mom flew in for Thanksgiving but hasn't seen his dad since his last visit to Canada) Prayer's for the Lytle's to find the time and finances needed to visit his parents.
