We realize that the term Bible study is somewhat ambiguous, meaning something a little different to each person who hears it. With that being the case, allow us to define what a Bible study is at The Summit. In a sentence, our Bible studies are focused meditation on a particular section of Scripture or topic for a semester within a committed community of believers.
For Fall 2026, The Prayer Practice:
A Study on Talking (and Listening) to God
Does your prayer life feel more like habit than heartbeat? Maybe it lacks depth, or consistency — or maybe it's non-existent altogether. This Fall, join us for a tailored study designed to break prayer down to its basics, using scripture, teaching, and practice to help you form real, life-giving communion with God.
We'll work through The Prayer Practice workbook (from John Mark Comer's Practicing the Way), paired with Praying Like Monks, Living Like Fools by Tyler Staton — a book that brings the practice of prayer to life through story and honest reflection.
The workbook will serve as our hands-on guide, while Staton's book acts as the friend telling you why it's worth it. Each week, we'll come together in small groups to listen, share, and challenge one another to grow in the practice of prayer.
