Missions Minute - Kyle and Lindsey Barta (October 24, 2024)

During this week's "Mission Minute" we are featuring Kyle and Lindsey Barta from H2O Ministries at the University of Buffalo. H2O is an on-campus church that seeks to introduce students to Jesus Christ by meeting them where they are at.

As lead pastor, Kyle has been very busy with the end of this summer's Leadership Training, the start of the new school year,  and the resulting influx of new students. God has been at work doing tremendous things at H2O Buffalo! It can be best summarized in Kyle's own words:

In August, we moved back home to Buffalo as we closed out LT (Leadership Training). From there, we had about 2 weeks to finish up any last minute preparations for all of the different ways we'd be meeting people on campus during Welcome Week.
This year has been so encouraging so far. It's hard to put into words.
So, here are some quick, encouraging notes:

• We are running roughly double the amount of people on Sundays and during Life Group that we had last year! (~70 on Sundays, 50 at Life Group)
• Many of our students/members have taken more responsibility in the church as a result of the need!
• Students are starting to have a deep community outside of our 'official' events!
• We have around 10 new students going through our discipleship program this semester (The Well)!
• 32 Students joined us for our Fall Getaway retreat! One student from UB gave her life to Christ at the retreat and was baptized!

It is heartwarming to know our ongoing support of this ministry is helping to make a difference in the lives of so many young people!

Kyle has the following prayer requests:

• Prayers for Student Members! That they would be intentional in their pursuit of God, and in their sharing of the gospel with their lost friends.
• Prayers for The Well discipleship program. That God would use it to make great disciples of Him!
• Prayers for a familial community, that our church would continue to grow in being like a true family of believers.
