Missions Minute - Bartas (August 2024)

Kyle and Lindsey Barta from H2O Ministries lead an on-campus church at the University of Buffalo. They believe that college is the most strategic mission field in the world, and that's why they work with H2O Church. H2O is an on-campus church that seeks to introduce students to Jesus Christ by meeting them where they are at.

This summer has been busy for Kyle and Lindsey as they are facilitating Leadership Training (LT) for 25 students from different H2O campus churches at the YMCA camp in Silver Springs, NY.  LT runs for 8 weeks. During this time the students learn to "serve like Jesus with others". The students work 40-hour weeks as part of the YMCA summer camp staff and then participate off hours in an intense program designed to help them grow spiritually. Kyle has shared with us God is actively at work with many of the students at LT, especially 2 from their own Buffalo campus!

Kyle and Lindsey also report that they are hard at work evaluating everything they are doing at the campus in Buffalo in preparation for the start of the fall semester. They have also come to the realization this summer how vital it is that we are close with Jesus if we want others to be, too.

KYLE’S PRAYER REQUESTS:

• Prayers for LT Students! That they would grow in their love for God and effectiveness in ministry! Especially pray for Tyreek and Divine - we need more members who are totally on fire for God.
• Prayers for our summer preparations. That God would lead us in how we can impact more people for Him!
• Prayers for a Lindsey and I to also grow in our walks with Jesus at LT!
