Missions Minute - The Lytles (April 23, 2026)

A few words from Steve Lytle:

Thank you for your continued prayer and financial support! It means so much to me and my family and the Church God has given us the privilege to be a part of. Below is an update for you. As you will be able to see, God has been working in our family and in the Church in some pretty cool ways and through your prayer and financial support you have a part in that! Thank you again!

3 Guys Turn to Christ
Over the past month and a half, we have had 3 guys turn to Christ! 1 young adult (Riley) that wanted something different for his life and remembered that his grandma had taken him to church when he was a kid, and then a dad (Joe) and his young adult son (Nick) that have no church background but Joe's dad Jim and his wife attend our church and have been praying for Joe and for Nick! All three of these guys are hungry to know God’s Word as they are very new to the faith. It is awesome! To God be the glory! What God used in Joe’s life was a heart condition and a brain tumor that they are awaiting cancer test results from. What God used in Nick’s life was his dad surrendering to Christ. I am excited to see each of these guys go deeper in their new found faith. Please pray for Riley, Joe and Nick.

Our Building
We are thankful to have the insurance process for the building repair done. We are in the midst of working through ideas on reconstruction. As we have thought and prayed about it, with everything torn apart we really believe this is a great time to evaluate whether the setup of the damaged space is the best use of that space or if we could change things up a bit to make it more useful for ministry in the future. We are in the process of getting quotes now. We want to see what can be done inside of what we received from insurance and if any fundraising would need to happen or not. We will certainly keep you updated on that and ask that you please pray for all that is involved in it.

Overall Ministry
Overall, we just continue to see great life and health in the Church. Two of the things that stand out are: 1. we continue to see the people here going deeper and getting more consistent in The Word 2. displaying a greater concern for the eternal destiny of those around them. To God be the glory, eh! Please pray that each person that is a part of the Church here, would continue to take Steps of Faith. God has some great things in store here!

Our Family
God has been so good to our family. Heather and I are celebrating 20 years of marriage in May (19th). We were able to take a trip a few weeks ago in celebration of our anniversary as we wanted to bring our kids with us and March/Spring Break was just the best time to go. Heather continues to work in the lunch rooms of the Medina Christian Academy Middle School and High School and loves it. Hudson, Kinlee, and Sawyer are thriving. Hudson in particular has a few big things in life that are coming up: 1. he will get his drivers license at the beginning of May 2. at the start of June he will begin his first summer working at Skyview Ranch on the maintenance staff 3. he was accepted into The Medina Career Center’s construction program for his junior year so he will go half a day there and half a day at his current school next year. In general, we praise the Lord for what He is doing in our lives as individuals and in the life of our family!

If you could pray for us personally:
1. We are planning to go up to Canada and see my parents for a short time at the end of May after our kids get out of school and before Hudson has to be at Camp as we haven’t been able to get up there for about 2 1/2 years. A week ago, my Mom and Dad came down here to visit their supporting Churches. They were going to be here in Ohio for two weeks and then in Virginia for 2 weeks as they have supporting Churches in both states. We were so looking forward to spending time with them during their time here in Ohio but their trip was cut short due to the death of a sweet member of their Church in Canada. So they had to head back after only being here in the states for a few days. With that, we are so excited to be able to get up there in May and be with them.

2. We are continuing to pray for wisdom with our car. It continues to hold together and drive well and we are grateful. Vehicle wise we have had some inner engine trouble come up with our van which is frustrating so we are trying to figure out what to do there and with Hudson starting to drive soon, he is looking for a vehicle with what he has saved up.

Thank you again for your continued support. We are so grateful! If you have any questions about anything, please let us know!

Grace and peace,
Steve Lytle
