Bev and Tom Hawkins are our missionaries serving in France (about 45 minutes north of Paris in a small town called Agnetz).
Spring Highlights:
The Chorale Soli Deo Gloria’s enjoyed a vibrant spring with concerts from Easter through June—singing in joint services, local festivals, a Salvation Army nursing home, and a packed closing concert in a nearby town. They were warmly invited back next year with promises of a town-hosted reception! Along the way, they shared gospel music’s history and faith roots, trusting seeds of faith were planted.
Summer Highlights:
June and July were a blur of joyful chaos with their daughter’s family visiting—two little ones keeping them on their toes from dawn to dusk! Life on three continents means they grab family time when they can, and they made the most of it. Now, they’re savoring the peace and catching their breath.
On the Horizon:
Fall brings two art exhibits, a new outreach choir season, and a U.S. trip to visit family—welcoming a new grandchild in Kentucky, checking in on parents (Bev’s mom has had recent heart problems), and catching up with their other kids and grandchildren in Georgia. In early 2026, Bev will head to Greece for a “Creative Devotions” retreat and finally launch her first solo art exhibit.
Tom’s Ministry:
Tom is keeping things running and supporting two Ukrainian couples preparing for ministry in Poland and Latvia. It is very much like in the book of Acts – there is persecution (in this case, war) and while it is easy to see the destructive side of things, one can also see that God is at work to spread workers out into other places that desperately need them, as these Ukrainian believers need to relocate but see it as an opportunity for ministry.
August Prep:
This month is all about gearing up for France’s busy September restart so we can begin the fall at a steady, sustainable pace.
Prayer Requests:
· Praise for the Chorale’s amazing season. Pray that God continues to use this ministry to plant seeds and bring people to faith.
· Pray that they can use August as a month of rest and preparation, so they are not overwhelmed as fall starts.
· Pray for the protection of the Ukrainian missionaries placed in Poland and Latvia and that their endeavors may be fruitful in bringing people to Christ.
· Pray that Bev’s upcoming travels go well, and her new grandbaby arrives healthy and safe.
· Also pray for Bev’s upcoming first solo art exhibit. She will be meeting with the director of a large local library in the coming weeks to set a date and then she will be working like crazy to prepare for it.
