Missions Minute - The Larsons (February 12, 2026)

Update on H2O Kent with the Larson’s:

This spring marks a meaningful season of renewal for Nick and his family. After seven years of faithful campus ministry, Nick has begun a sabbatical encouraged by Reliant and H2O leadership. A sabbatical is a guided season of stepping back from regular ministry responsibilities to intentionally seek God’s presence, reflect deeply, and be re-envisioned for long-term, fruitful service.

This season has already been a gift. Nick has been dedicating extended time to prayer, deeper study of Scripture, and thoughtful reflection on ministry. Through this process, he is gaining practical ideas and renewed vision that he looks forward to bringing back to the mission field with fresh energy.

The sabbatical has also provided meaningful time for family. Bea recently celebrated her first birthday, and they are amazed at how quickly she is growing. Nick and Kelly are especially grateful for this opportunity to invest intentionally in their home, recognizing that the health of their family overflows into the health of ministry.

Even in this new rhythm, campus ministry remains both a joy and a challenge. God continues to work in the lives of students, and the coming months hold significant opportunities for growth, outreach, and spiritual formation within the H2O Kent Church Network.

Nick and his family are deeply grateful for the church’s continued partnership, encouragement, and prayer.

Prayer Requests!
New Believers

• Raygan, Caroline, and Bilal were baptized in December.
• Pray that their newfound faith would grow deep roots and continue to mature in Christ.

Manmaker & Women’s Weekend (February)

• Pray for heart-level change, deepened friendships, and meaningful encounters with the Lord during these gatherings.

Spring Outreach in Northeast Ohio

• Winter weather limits outdoor outreach opportunities.
• Pray for creativity and boldness as the team seeks new ways to build relationships with students during the colder months.

Spring Break Trips (First Week of March)

• A service-focused trip to Puerto Rico.
• A prayer retreat at a local camp.
• Pray that participants would encounter the Lord deeply—whether through hands-on service or extended time in prayer.

Sabbatical Season

• Pray for clarity, renewal, and fresh vision during this sabbatical.
• Pray for continued health and joy in their family.
• Pray that this season would prepare Nick for many more years of faithful ministry.
