Missions Minute - Bruce and Lisa Burkholder (October 6, 2026)

Bruce and Lisa have been busy representing EBI at a recent pastor’s conference in California. The conference focused on the Christian family. There they were able to give away 2,000 copies of Micheal Reeve’s book, Rejoicing In Christ.

Bruce conveyed that they went to the conference with the idea of encouraging and ministering to the attending pastors by introducing them to the mission of EBI and giving them access to their vast library of Christian publications. But as often happens, the conference gave the attending members of EBI much more than they expected. The teaching, worship music, and interactions through out the conference gave them all so much encouragement. Reminding them that the mission of EBI, to give pastors greater access to theologically sound publications, is not only needed but much appreciated. Attendance at these types of conferences serves as a means of spreading God’s love and wisdom to other believers. But it is also gives the attendees from EBI some much needed edification and encouragement to continue their mission goals.

One of those goals is to have the financial ability to publish and then give away as many books as possible to those that need them To that end EBI gave away almost 6,000 books so far in 2026. That accomplishment and continued successful outreach of EBI can only be made possible by the continued prayers and financial support of many churches like The Summit who believe in EBI’s mission. Bruce and Lisa and all the staff at EBI want to convey a personal and heartfelt thank you to those of you who support them and the mission of EBI.

Bruce and Lisa ended their update on a personal note celebrating 42 years of marriage. Please be sure take time to check out the Summit’s link to the EBI newsletter to read more about their wonderful journey of pastoring and missions over these past 42 years and to see a sweet wedding picture of Bruce and Lisa!

As always we want to remember EBI in our prayers for the continued success of their mission and the continued health and well being of our brothers and sisters in Christ on the EBI staff. After all, we are the family of Christ, connected across the globe by His grace and love.
