Missions Minute - The Bartas (Sept 3, 2026)

This week's "Mission Minute" features Kyle and Lindsey Barta from H2O Ministries at the University of Buffalo. H2O is an on-campus church that seeks to introduce students to Jesus Christ by meeting them where they are at. Kyle is the lead pastor there and formerly attended the Summit before going on the mission field with H2O.

My May 31st Mission Minute update for Kyle had him just starting his summer sabbatical- his first time off in over 13 years of college ministry! I reached out to him in August to see how he was doing and he indicated that he remains on sabbatical until September 15th. He did not anticipate sending out a newsletter before today's Mission Minute update but did share a few prayer requests.

• For our student leaders as they gear up for a brand new semester of reaching out to new students at University of Buffalo. 
• For our staff as they navigate the beginning of this semester without me (still on sabbatical). We have a great team and I'm confident in them, but it will definitely be different without me being as involved.
• Three students went to our summer program (Leadership Training): David, Jerin, and Jacobo. Prayers for their continued growth and for their impact to be high in our church this year! Here is a picture of them praying together at LT.

In addition to Kyle's prayer requests I learned from H20 Buffalo's Facebook page they had a very extensive list of activities starting with new student move-in on August 20th They are definitely hitting the ground running with social events and Life Groups for the Fall Semester.
