Teacher Resources

We know that some of our groups (such as student ministry and D-Groups) may try The Journey Study so we have provided the sample materials below. Please set up a meeting with one of our pastors to discuss how this is to be used before you launch it.
In each session, you will be teaching eight chronological themes throughout the Bible. These sessions will follow the path of Creation, Corruption, Covenants 1, Covenants 2, Christ, Cross, Church, and Conclusion. Here are the teaching notes for Session 1.
Alongside of the weekly teachings, the student will be able to follow along in one of our Journey notetaker guides. This will help them follow the main points of the teaching and keep your listeners engaged. Here is a sample of the note taker guide the student will be using.
You will be using Angie Smith's workbook, Seamless: Understanding the Bible as One Complete Story as a way to enhance the 8 teaching sessions. You'll be doing approximately 1 hour of at-home work between teaching sessions. Here is a sample of the workbook.
No study is complete without a good overview of what the student or participants can expect. We have provided a sample overview (syllabus) of the entire 8 sessions, which will set the expectations for those who are considering The Journey Study. Here is The Journey syllabus.
