THE JOURNEY STUDY

Class Description

Three Areas of Focus for the Journey Study...

EIGHT PASTOR-LED TEACHING SESSIONS
In each session, one of our pastors will be teaching through the eight chronological themes throughout the Bible. These sessions will be informative and life-changing, as we allow God to plainly show us the story of the Bible. These sessions will follow the path of Creation, Corruption, Covenants 1, Covenants 2, Christ, Cross, Church, and Conclusion.
AT-HOME WORKBOOK
We will be using Angie Smith's workbook, Seamless: Understanding the Bible as One Complete Story as a way to enhance the eight teaching sessions. You'll be doing approximately 1 hour of at-home work between teaching sessions. It will be enjoyable and interactive!
You can expect to 4 things from the at-home work...
1) Understand the Bible as a whole as you change the way you look at Scripture
2) Connect with the people, places, and promises of God's Word in a fresh way
3) Gain clarity and confidence in your understanding of Scripture
4) Discover a Biblical context that reshapes and brings to life stories from the Old and New Testaments
You can view a sample of the at-home workbook here.
SOCIAL CONNECTION THROUGH TABLE GROUPS
The room will be set up with tables instead of rows. Why? This will allow you to interact with other people from our church. Although it's important for you to gain knowledge and understanding of the Bible as one BIG story, you'll also have the opportunity to meet other people. We believe the development of relationships is an important element of this study!
