Teaching Teams

Teachers and assistants love kids and work hard and patiently to help each student learn more about God.

Teaching/Assisting Positions:
  • Nursery
  • Toddlers
  • Preschool
  • Elementary K-2nd
  • Elementary 3rd-5th

Nursery Team Responsibilities:
  • Playing and caring for early infant stage newborn to confident walkers
  • Comforting upset babies
  • Feeding, changing, and rocking babies as necessary

Toddler Team Responsibilities:
  • Playing with and caring for toddlers age 2-4 (roughly)
  • Comforting, changing, and assisting toddlers to the bathroom as necessary
  • Leading Bible songs, activities, and simple Bible lessons to build a scriptural foundation
    • Lessons are prepared ahead of time for you

Preschool Team Responsibilities:
  • Connecting and engaging with children roughly age 4-6
  • Leading games, crafts, and activities
  • Leading praise and worship with the children
  • Leading a short Bible lesson to build a scriptural foundation
    • Lessons are prepared ahead of time for you

Elementary Team 1 (K-2nd) Responsibilities:
  • Connecting and engaging with students in the K-2nd grade age group
  • Leading large group games, crafts, and activities
  • Leading praise and worship with the children
  • Leading a Bible lesson to build a scriptural foundation
    • Lessons are prepared ahead of time for you
  • Leading a small group discussion based on the lesson

Elementary Team 2 (3rd-5th) Responsibilities:
  • Connecting and engaging with students in the 3rd-5th grade age group
  • Leading large group games, crafts, and activities
  • Leading a Bible lesson to build a scriptural foundation
    • Lessons are prepared ahead of time for you
  • Leading a small group discussion based on the lesson

Climb Youth

Climb Youth leaders work hard to help students navigate the hardships of being a teenager following Christ and prepares them for what faith looks like in the "adult world."

Climb Youth Leader Responsibilities:
  • Connecting and engaging with students grades 6-12
  • Leading Bible lessons encouraging deeper thinking, emphasizing a close personal relationship with Jesus
  • Leading and playing fun games during evening youth group
  • Attending youth events to support relationships
  • Loving and encouraging students through formative years
  • Demonstrating a Godly lifestyle as an adult

Kidcheck Team

We are the first faces you see when entering the kids wing at our church. We help new families get checked in and get their kids into the right classroom smoothly.

Focused Care Team

We help children who need extra one-on-one attention during class.
This could be a student who is simply having a rough day, or someone who has some special needs; either way, we are here to help

Focused Care Team Responsibilities:
  • Assisting and engaging with children who may have developmental disabilities through the morning experience
  • Assisting and engaging with children who may be having a difficult morning and or may be distracting other children

Lesson prep Team

We sort out the materials, presentations, and any extra gear needed to ensure our teachers are prepared for a great morning come Sunday

Lesson Prep Team Responsibilities:
  • Sorting through the provided curriculum to pick out fun games, activities, and crafts for our kids ministry
  • Creating a shopping list of necessary material for said activities for purchase 
  • Prepping activity bins for teachers in advance to help them on Sundays

Art Team

We are the artists responsible for the chalk wall that our students love to come and see each month

Art Team Responsibilities:
  • Meeting once a month to design a creative backdrop for the month's themed lesson
