About us

Tom and Bev Hawkins are based in a small town called Agnetz, 45 minutes north of Paris, France. They have been a Part of Greater Europe Mission (GEM) since 2014 but have served as missionaries in France for 30 years. In a country where 98% of people identify as agnostic or atheist, one of their main goals as missionaries is engaging the local community and building trust and acceptance of Christians and the church.

Tom is on the GEM International Personnel Committee, which handles personnel matters, including recruitment, development, and care for missionaries. He also coordinates planning for short-term and long-term missions and helps to navigate through the "red tape" for missionaries throughout Europe.
Bev is a pianist but has many other talents as well. She uses her gifts of cooking, baking, music and art to connect and build trust with the local communities near Agnetz. She participates in 2 choirs and leads an outreach choir herself. She also offers visual arts workshops, volunteers at art events by providing dinners, and visits / studies with friends to teach them the gospel.

Tom and Bev have 3 adult children: daughter Jesse who lives with her family in Taiwan, son Josh who lives with his family in Campbellsville, KY, and son Caleb who lives with his family in Toccoa, GA.
